Step 4: Schedule and Planning

At this point you have chosen your contractor and have purchased the materials for your bathroom remodel. Having the materials on hand prior to the construction taking place is necessary so that the job flows in a timely manner. One product not in possession can hold your entire bathroom remodel up, so letting your contractor know the arrival date of these items is of great importance. Once all permits our obtained and items ordered the contractor should be ready to sit down with you and start scheduling. Make sure the contractor provides you with a calendar that lays out what work will be done and each process in your bathroom remodel. Always remember that in construction there could be deviations in schedule due to unexpected occurrences that occur within the bathroom remodel. This does not mean that your contractor should not be driven to adhere to the schedule. It is your bathroom remodel and you are being inconvenienced by the remodel, make sure the contractor places value on being timely with you.
